In the voice of the Mazatlecan writer Fernando Alarriba, the collection of poems “De este mar” was successfully presented, a work that comes to light under the Ediciones del Olvido seal, and on the opening night Held at Casa Haas, the protagonist led those present to a place without time but full of reflection through his nostalgic phrases.

In the presence of dozens of spectators, and accompanied by the writer Ana Belén López who was the book’s commentator, the young writer shared his most recent literary work before an audience made up mostly of young adults who are familiar with the taste for poetry that distinguishes López and Alarriba.

In the words of the author, “Of this sea,” tells us about something symbolic: the sea as a totality, in this case the totality of the spirit, the totality of the soul, he explained that it is identified as romantic, but the title does not talk about the wonders of the sea. ocean, it speaks to us of the state or states of the soul, of heartbreak, desperation, fear, violence; states that are born from pain, it is an encounter with death, a dialogue with memory to encounter those personal abysses that, throughout life, can leave us in a state of desolation, of emptiness.

After analyzing and commenting on this work, the audience eager to ask questions took over the microphone and questioned the author why the creation of the book lasted 10 years, how many poems were left out of this work, and there were those who admitted that they identified with some verses about everything where the earthly departure of a loved one was between the lines.

After almost 90 minutes of presentation, the presentation came to an end, the table of books for sale quickly filled up, and the copies passed to new owners, who took advantage of their proximity to the writer Fernando Alarriba to request a dedication on this special night.
