Mysticism, love, tragedy, were some of the elements that prevailed in “Evocaciones”, a memorable performance at Casa Haas with the performance of tenor Eduardo Tapia, and bass, Josem Ivalcá, accompanied by the musicians Pablo López, Víctor Alonso Osuna and Luis Osuna.

The concert was an artistic mix of opera, musical, theater, with a careful set design made up of chairs, tables, lighting and other ambiance elements.

The artists created an ideal atmosphere to perform each melody and captivate the audience by evoking death and the celestial through singing and fine musical notes.

The old house on Mariano Escobedo and Heriberto Frías Street in the Historic Center of Mazatlán witnessed an unforgettable autumn evening, where various styles and vocal genres evoked the funereal, with a repertoire that made the density of the time felt, but also the light of the spiritual.

With the classic “La llorona” they opened up the emotions, making the concept clear, where the performers constantly opted to interact with the audience, leaving the stage to sing between the aisles and seats occupied by the spectators.

During the night of Evocaciones the cast garnered applause when performing “La zandunga”, “Naila” and “La Martiniana”.

After reading a poem, tenor Eduardo Tapia performed the song “Recuérdame” a cappella, his tears due to his overwhelming emotion infected the attendees.

With “Arrullo al revés”,, they gave the first surprise of the night because out of the audience appeared soprano Ariadna Rosales, whose melodic voice captivated those present, forming a beautiful ensemble with Tapia and Ivalcá, and at the end of her performance the lights out announced the intermission.

In the second part of the program, the artists delighted the audience with “El jinete”, “Las flores del campo santo”, “Bodas negras”, “El cristal”, “Noche de ronda”, y “Montón de tierra” to culminate the performance, but at the insistence of the public with the classic “Otra, Otra!”, soloists and musicians returned to the stage to sing “La Llorona” again.
