“Ópera Inmortal” with Eimy Osuna, Alexander Torres, Gerardo Sosa Santizo and Juan Pablo García, a tribute to this genre that tells a story through music, singing and acting, was presented at Casa Hass.

The audience enjoyed a high-flying program performed with professionalism, virtuosity and respect. The repertoire included compositions by Tchaikovsky, J. Massenet, G. Bizet, W. A. Mozart and G. Puccini.

Eimy Osuna, soprano, welcomed the attendees and explained that “Ópera Inmortal” emerged as a tribute to the wonderful operatic tradition of more than 400 years that has the ability to bring together all types of art, but that gives a special emphasis musically and theatrically, hoping that the world and art will allow humanity to continue delighting in opera.

Tenor Alexander Torres performed “Kuda, Kuda, Kuda vi udalilis” with a very good volume of voice and good diction, to capture the attention of the public who remained attentive to the following presentations.

Alexander Torres said that he performed a select repertoire, very strong, very intense, which allowed him to convey to the public what the author and the music itself want to make known about the character. In the case of “Kuda, Kuda” the aria has the context in which a prince sings before the duel he will have with his best friend for the love of a princess, in this aria he explains that he knows he is going to die, he tells the princess that he loves her and that he will no longer be part of her life story with her, the aria has contrasts that lead to emotional stress.

Gerardo Sosa -baritone-, who recently returned from Peru where he participated in the XI Latin American Lyric Singing Contest, commented that he will continue taking classes, rehearsals, singing new things, seeking new expectations that favor his formation as a singer, as an artist and as a person.

He highlighted that for him the performance he had with Eimy Osuna was his favorite because “The Marriage of Figaro” is one of his favorite operas because of its plot and its story, very comical, entertaining, but the context and content of the piece is very Serious.

Soprano Eimy Osuna invited the audience to contribute with voluntary financial donations that will help them raise funds to participate in auditions and be able to attend national and international opera competitions such as the Georg Solti in Italy, Lotte Lenya in New York, Estudio de Opera in Fine Arts of CDMX, María Callas in Brazil and National Opera of Lyon in France.
