Dozens of SAM School students, at the Secondary and Baccalaureate level, had a pleasant experience when attending the rehearsal of the MozArt opera, held inside the Ángela Peralta Theater.

For maestro Luis Enrique Zepeda, Director of Art and Culture at SAM School, the visit was special because the group of young people was made up of musicians, athletes and students in general, who took advantage of the approach to music and theater, and everything that the opera represents.

“At school we have a symphony orchestra and we have always had the interest of bringing students closer to culture, so I did not want to waste the opportunity of bringing students closer to this part of music.”

To begin this dynamic promoted by maestro Ragnar Conde, creator of the show, the protagonists on stage recognized their colleagues and sang Las mañanitas to celebrate Musician’s Day, a detail reciprocated by the members of the Camerata Mazatlán, directed by maestro Sergio Freeman.

At the beginning of the rehearsal, the music and the voice of the soloists captivated the students, who followed the show in amazement.

“Let me tell you that at first it was like, How boring! How are you going to take me to see something so complicated to see and hear? I told them that in the end the opera is a joining in the theatrical, musical and vocal parts, so to form an opinion, it is first important to know, to know what you are coming to see,” exclaimed the teacher.
Student Alejandra Osuna shared that for her it was an enriching experience to see the rehearsal because she was able to appreciate how the adjustments are made because in the performances she sees the final process and the visit gives her a different artistic panorama.

“It was a very cool experience for me, the play is very entertaining and I really liked it, we were able to see how the play is structured in more detail, you can see the entire process from the beginning as the participants do it, the truth is I really liked the experience,” she concluded.
