In order to raise funds to continue her professional preparation in Europe and position herself in the world of opera, soprano Gabriela Zazueta offered the recital “Voces Naturales” accompanied by pianist Juan Pablo Garcia.

“Voces Naturales” took place at Casa Haas where the artist performed songs by Latin American authors accompanied by poetic interventions.

The talented soprano wanted to show the public a different repertoire.
“I really like to experiment with concepts in music, I wanted something that was a little out of the ordinary, different from the usual songs, so I sang things that are not so well known and accompanied them with different poems,” she expressed.

The repertoire was composed of: “Rocío” de Emma Ortiz; “Abismo de Sed” by Carlos Guastavino; “Porteñita” by Carlos López Buchardo; “Botoncito” Armando Lavalle; “La Pajarera” by Manuel M. Ponce; “Melodía sentimental” by Héctor Villalobos and “Estrellita” by Manuel M. Ponce.
In the poetry program she recited verses from “Río” by Jorge Guillén; “Trópico Verde” by Isaac Felipe Asofeifa; “Yo soy el Poema” by Gabrielle Z.; “Perturbar Abejas” by Ida Vitale; and “La luna”, among other Latin poems.
Between songs and poetry, the audience was delighted to enjoy the talent of the young soprano.
